Garden State Bulb Heritage Everbearing Red Raspberry is a favorite for its size, flavor, firmness and sweetness. This raspberry plant will grow in a variety of soil types, but prefers fertile soil. This ever bearer produces wave after wave of large, luscious dark red berries from summer until frost arrives. You can eat them fresh or they are excellent for jams, jellies, sauces, canning or freezing. Our raspberry plant (Rubus idaeus) comes as a bare root in a bag for planting and it is recommended to refer to your hardiness zone for best growing results. You can expect to see a handful of berries the first growing season and a greater yield the 2nd growing season, with plants typically reaching full production in 1 to 4 years.

- 1. Plant raspberries in early spring after the ground has thawed and there is no longer danger of frost.2. Choose a location with well-drained soil that receives full sun. Loosen soil prior to planting.3. Remove plant from packaging and lightly loosen the bottom of the root ball to release the roots. Dig a hole in loosened soil as deep as the roots and about twice as wide. Be sure the hole is large enough to encompass the roots without bending them.4. Place plant in hole with the roots down and the crown/top of the roots about 1
- The Raspberry plant will bear only on one-year-old stems. As soon as canes have produced fruit, prune them back to the ground to make room for the strong new canes.
